Books
We "freed" some of our favourite books into the wilds of Bristol as part of a book-crossing. Hopefully people are enjoying them right now!
Ladyfest Bristol 2007 took place in various venues across the city from 27th August to 2nd September. Events included singing workshops, gigs, tea parties, reggae club nights, feminist workshops, Ladyfest question time and much much more!
Ladyfest Bristol 2007 would like to thank everyone who was involved in the festival (all the volunteers, venues, press, visitors and everyone else who contributed) for being so supportive and making the festival such a great success. We couldn't have done it without you!
We're going to take a well deserved holiday from Ladyfesting for a few weeks, but we plan to document the festival on our website so it'll be updated soon with photos, video footage and press. If you have photos of the festival or anything else to contribute you can email them to postmaster[at]ladyfestbristol.org.uk.
You can visit our website at www.ladyfestbristol.org.uk for everything you need to know about Ladyfest Bristol 2007.
If you want more info, please email postmaster[a]ladyfestbristol.org.uk (she is actually a postmistress... I just don't like the word 'mistress')
Thanks for coming to the Clothes Swap and Pub Quiz Fundraisers!
Many thanks to everyone who came along to our Clothes Swap and Sewing Party fundraiser at the Here Gallery on 11th August. It went really well and we all had lots of fun (and ate a lot of cake). Special thanks to Emily and Camilla for being stars with the sewing machine and badge maker, and to everyone who baked!
We also had a great time fundraising at the Ladyfest Pop Culture Pub Quiz on 14th August at The Cat and Wheel. Thanks to everyone who came along and joined in, we hope you enjoyed it. Kudos to Laura for writing such good questions and being a top quizmaster (or should that be mistress?!). And cheers to the Cat for providing the fabulous prizes!
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who believes in gender equality.
Movie of the exhibition “Destroy Genders or Fucking genders: For a no binary society “
Hi,
For information, the “Movie” of the exhibition “ Destroy Genders or Fucking genders: For a no binary society” can’t be seen at the Toulouse’s festival XXYZ for technical trouble.
But on Daylimotion , you must have to create an account and tell thatt you’re heighten, so it’s easyer to see it on my myspace profil..
It has been done to be diffused on queer, or other movies’ festivals, when there is no place to install this exhibition. It has a copyright, thanks to respect it.
Thanks for the add from Tarbert Music Festival - Loch Fyne - Argyll - Scotland - next on 19th - 22nd September 2008 - see http://www. tarbertmusicfestival. com
