LA’s self-described purveyors of “funky pop rock with bluesy vocals” are truly masters of impassioned rock, delivered with addictive and potent grooves and emotive and irresistible vox.

FULFILLMENT:

LadyFOX is fronted by Michelle Ann Owens. “Music makes me feel fulfilled,’ she says. “It gives me a chance to express things, whether it’s angry, loving, lustful or playful.” The emotions that come through in the LadyFOX songs are undiluted and intelligently and passionately expressed, much to the listener’s delight. “Life without music would be empty and pointless.”

UNAFRAID:

Michelle believes in self-expression being unfettered. “I love artists who aren’t afraid to truly be themselves in all aspects of the creative process.” Her band LadyFOX brings it on full force and never engages in self-censorship. Art must be allowed to flow freely. “I like artists who just go for it vocally and musically and who don’t try to fit themselves into a specific box or try to sound just like someone else.”

THE ARTIST AT WORK:

LadyFOX won Pop Funk Band of the Year at this year's Los Angeles Music Awards. The group also played SXSW at both Music Gorilla and Red Gorilla venues and represented VH1's SAVE THE MUSIC program at a recent mobile marketing conference in Las Vegas. Also coming up is their new EP, and touring will follow in support of the new material.

Michelle's original songs have been featured on industry compilation CDs, and she has also been successful in licensing songs for television shows & networks including E!, Comedy Central, “America’s Next Top Model”, MTV’s “Made”, VH1’s “Driven”, Discovery Health’s “Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew”, The History Channel, The Sci Fi Channel & Spike TV.
