| General | I am interested in belly dance, especially American Tribal Style. I love animals and volunteer whenever I can. I love gardening and growing plants, primarily for medicinal purposes. I am a staunch believer and supporter of alternative medicine. Hypnosis is an obvious interest being that I am a hypnotherapist. Interested in quitting smoking? Come see me. I love books to read and to collect. I have a nice collection of Charles Leland books from the 19th century. Leland was a popular folklorist. I absorb information from books on ancient Roman religion and Italian folklore. I find the modern Pagan movement fascinating. Stregheria, Italian witchcraft, and strega folk magic are also of interest to me (obviously!). | | Music | Solace, Gypsy Caravan, Hassam Ramsy, and anything Middle Eastern and danceable, and I'm there. I am also a big fan of Delerium, Android Lust, Dead Can Dance, Loreena McKennitt, Enya, Maire, Vas, etc. | | Movies | I'm a *big* movie buff. I watch very little TV, but lots of movies. I'm a big fan of comedy and historical drama. Some more obscure movies I'd recommend are: Wicker Man, Dangerous Beauty, the Red Lantern, the Unbearable Lightness of Being, Princess Mononoke and the Anchoress. I have a not so secret crush on Nicole Kidman and have seen every movie with Sandra Bullock. About me:
I'm a thirtysomething philanthropic idealist who lives in her dream house next to a farm in Hatfield, PA with a fabulous husband, a shiny black cat, a fluffy dog, and a beautiful daughter. I am the director of a college library, owner of a holistic health center specializing in women and children, and a college professor (I teach history, creativity, & information literacy). I am also a professional belly dancer. I teach belly dance classes in my Hatfield studio, and I am the director of Vesperus dance troupe, which focuses on the sacred and energetic nature of belly dance. I lecture around the Philadelphia Metropolitan area on esoteric topics such as guided visualization, Italian folk magic, Stregheria, ecstatic trance, sacred dance, faery work, and ancient Roman religion. I am the high priestess of the Order of the Evening Star, a chartered Order within the Clarian Temple of the Religio Terranova, a legally recognized "church" in the state of Pennsylvania with a pending 501(c)3 federal non-profit status. I am a strega high priestess in Lori Bruno's line. I also hold the teachings of a Italian family tradition of witchcraft out of Lazio and Abruzzi.

Who I'd like to meet:
President Bush, so that I can give him a piece of my mind. I'd love to meet the Dalai Lama, as his centeredness and compassion inspire me greatly. I'd love to have coffee with Leonardo Da Vinci, as his life is the basis for many of the topics I teach at the college.
