About me:
I grew up on the waterfront in a GORGEOUS place, Sausalito California. My houseboat community developed 40+ yrs ago after the ferry boats shored the beaches and as the Haight Ashbury crowd began to overflow across the Golden Gate Bridge. The lot off from my dock had a massive Ferry boat called the Charles Van Daame aka The Ark. Many famous musicians played there so I included a bunch of the posters in my slideshow. My waterfront people are like my tribe. I developed hundreds of close relationships while living there and hold tight to many still as if they were my blood family. I'm proud to be a waterbaby (born on the boat called the Down Winder) and proud to have been a member of the Funky Friends Club(like the little rascals but on the water). My community was loaded with "witches, gypsies, wenches, mermaids & pirates. From these unusual, colorful characters I've been inspired to write but also learned many a valuable lesson, potion, reading, home remedy and survival technique due to my upringing. One of 5, all my sisters and myself moved out by the age of 14. Our father, Shaman of Rainbow Bay, was killed when I was 10, robbed & stabbed to death while translating a book about the Quetzequatl and the Tree of Life. His profound spiritual and political influence on the community left us a meaningful stance in the community while our british witchy mother managed the office for the neighborhood. Both of my parents were editors of the Garlic Press influencing me toward my first job as co-editor of the Waterfront Community Dream Journal by age 12. To this day me mum lives on a pirate ship, the Starship, flying either a jolly roger flag, the british flag or a broom on Rainbow Bay raising her ale to the full moon. I've been living in Baltimore for the past 11 1/2 years now, have 2 children (Veronica and Patrick), a fantastic law office job (now the manager of my department)and many interesting and loving friends. Recently married to Johnny G, my heart is full of love & laughter. The man of my dreams has entered my world and is proving time and time again that anything is possible if you reach for the stars. Solid and unswerving our hearts take a ride. My heart rages for Johnny G!!
