Peggy Rochelle James the wife of Pastor Wilson James, and the First Lady of Abundantly Blessed ministries in Detroit, MI is truly an anointed psalmist; whose ministry gift and presence command attention.
She began her singing career in 1976 at the City View Baptist Church under the late Pastor Nathaniel Taylor. She has been an effective psalmist to the body of Christ now for more than 25 years! She presently serves as the Chief Worship Leader for the State of Michigan Full Gospel Fellowship.
She was given the name "The Famous Peggy James" by her Pastors Steven and Valorie Bennet (House of Prayer and Praise) when they reconized the magnitude of her ministry.
Her musical talents have opened doors for her in theaters and as a solo artist. She was cast in T.J Hemphill's hit gospel musical production, Perilous Times. As well as performing in, Angels in the House, wicked ways, and the return of Mr.Scrooge.
She has been an active member of the Micheal Fletcher Chorale for more than 10 years, recording a solo on he chorale's project, the most noted and popular song "Even me".
Her amazing voice has been recorded on the projects of various artist, including Bishop Paul Morton, Sr, and the full Gospel fellowship, Co-Pastor Deborah Morton and the Daughters of Promise. She has also performed and or shared the stage with Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Tramaine Hawkins, The Clark sisters, Frances Crouch, John P Kee, Kirk Franklin, Bishop William Murphy, Minister William Murphy III, Men of standard and Larry Callahan with selected of God, just to name a few.
Her faith is definitely taking her somewhere. Peggy's life long dream of recording her solo album has become a reality entitled "A Promise" which was written by her husband Pastor Wilson James, who is her 1 fan, and supports her ministry 100%.
She has been married 19 years with four (4) children. She is saved and always ready to serve; with a deep seeded love for God and for worship
