All good music, as ever. We could listen one million influences but it wouldn't help to clear in your mind what we sound like, so why not give us a listen?

"Aah, Lady Rain, Gentleman Snow….Confused Hail…never mind that though…. These darkling riff monsters take The Automatic template then kick it around with a dose of punk rock suitably raw around the edges, and produce a an anthemic and spirited alt rock"

"A cold, wet, windy Friday night in Birmingham. On arrival upstairs at the Dragon Bar there are around 30 people waiting for tonight’s proceeding to start in a very cold Dragon Bar @ The Barfly. Thankfully that’s all about to change as locals boys Lady Rain take to the stage. It’s that cold lead singer Ced keeps his scarf and jacket on - a wise move as even under the stage lighting it must be cold up there for the time being.
They kick off with ‘Glad You Called’ followed by ‘Composure’ and ‘Sink So Low’. As front man Ced belts out the words to ‘Police The Police’ his stature is cool, and has the rock voice to go with it - a trait every lead singer should have but sadly it’s not always the case.
Having just recorded a live set for ITV local.com called ‘The New Grey Whistle Test’ to be broadcast in early 2009, Lady Rain close their set with ‘Walking On Your Own’; this will have audiences up and down the country singing along. There was no rain at this gig tonight, the sun came out and left the showers outside in the cold Birmingham air."
Birmingham Live
"They’ve got some strong material crafted out of a sound that’s a tidy mix of rock, indie and simple, atmospheric electro. The band are clearly trying to push some boundaries musically and mostly this pays off; it’s complex, interesting music with some great beats, subtle but effective keys, all brought together well by front man Cedric’s strong vocal – a distinctive mix of melody and shouty chants. Rather than blending in with the many electro-indie acts that seem to be so popular these days, the band has a much heavier edge and the use of electronica never seems forced or tacked on, distinguishing the band as innovators rather than bandwagon-jumpers".....

"They’ve got a great sound that carefully blends Indie, Rock and Electronica for a unique and exciting direction which is both accessible and shows some real innovation. Excellent material with strong lyrics, sharp guitar work, tidy beats and atmospheric keys – it’s a compelling and urgent noise performed by some genuinely talented musicians that should, by all rights, take them far in the Festival and beyond".....

"There’s not much sunshine in Lady Rain’s world. The pavements are showered with shards of guitar, overcast vocals and melancholy from the South East, gusting up to 30 miles per hour. But as singles go, you won’t find a more majestic drama of a tune than “Walking On Your Own” any time soon".....

"The indie boys from Birmingham are back and this time they are better than ever. The infectious beats that worked so well for them are also back and are mixing themselves well with the Editors-esque sound weaving its way throughout the track. The lyrics are insanely catchy and had me singing along just three seconds into the track; I can imagine the crowd chants already".....
"Over the last couple of years, rock music’s been in the sauna, spent hours with hot rocks along its spine and endured a right royal Swedish twig thrashing to emerge refreshed, renewed and sparkly-eyed. Gone are the soggy cords, lank hair and ‘70s licks of The Vines or The Strokes. Instead, the NME’s gone tcehnicolour and everyone’s got a sampler. Just look at the difference between the Mystery Jets’ two albums. And judging by the new cut from Birmingham five-piece Lady Rain, they’ve also ridden out the transition just fine.
“Sink So Low” has all the gritty melodics of a classic indie anthem. A shimmering hi-hat builds the tension and the band’s duo of guitarists, Dave Hemming and Matt Fitzsimmons, whip up a storm of sleek melodies akin to the finest moments of The Music. But it’s all refreshingly offset by pulsing synths.... Of course, no amount of electronic whistles is a substitute for decent songwriting. And this track is a classic slow burner in the mould of The Verve. Frontman Cedric Lunnon heroically rises to the task set by the towering chorus time and again before the band rock out and wash up in a sea of effects and feedback. But it’s done with an eye on a shinier, glossier future.
B-side “Police The Police” is livelier but no less weighty. The guitars razor in and there’s a punchier vibe as Cedric spits attitude over a surprisingly poppy chorus in this tale of a job taken far too seriously (“On your knees, please don’t question my authority”). With a lot of bounce, a massive guitar solo and a rockist breakdown, it’s a lot of fun. And a handy nod towards a spread of material. But across both tracks, there’s a sense of a band with oodles of fire and plenty to prove....."

As a friend of Killaflaw we'd like to give you the opportunity of purchasing our uniquely numbered, limited edition CD single 'Revolution' which also includes the much loved 'Holy Fuck' on the B side.
There are only 1000 copies in existence and further copies will be sold without these unique numbers, so here is your chance to own a piece of music history from the LIPA award winning band dubbed by Eddy dance/rock guru Temple-Morris "the missing link between Soundgarden and The Prodigy"
The record is of course also available to buy as MP3 download.
