At only 24, Tragik, has accomplished more than most people do in a lifetime. Born
Florencia Garcia Carcagno, in Argentina on March 14th, 1985, she was raised in
San Francisco, CA, after her family fled from the deteriorated conditions of her native country following the collapse of a despotic dictatorship. Although their economic situation did not improve much in America the young family found their voices through different outlets. Her mother delved into social activism and her step-father, joined an Afro-Cuban salsa band, while her father moved around the country to support his family, and became a successful engineer. Heavily armed with political, social, and musical knowledge, Tragik began her own movement to empower the youth in her community through various non-profit organizations. In the process, Tragik entered the most prolific period of her life – the discovery of many hidden talents that include photography and an ability to song write. As a photographer, Tragik has become well-known in her own right taking photos for musical artists, video shoots, models, and documenting events. Inspired by her subjects and encouraged by the community, Tragik began to perform spoken word. Poetry, rap and spoken word became an outlet for her to unleash her personal views of life, politics, and human rights. As evident by her numerous body art, Tragik wears her beliefs on her sleeves both literally and metaphorically. But don’t be fooled by her rebellious façade, she is refreshingly real, self – confident and eager to grow as a person and artist. Never one to turn away from a challenge, Tragik was invited to work with a rising producer, Freddy Stylez. What emerged was an exciting electro propulsive dance album and a recording contract with MegaMic Entertainment.
