The Parents, they've gone through more crap than anyone should have to in life and had to start over so many damned times it's a wonder they didn't throw in the towel and stop trying to make a life for any of us...... They've been handed more shit, treated like shit, and stepped on at every turn... we've lost everything so many times and had to start from scratch so many damned times....
but you know what? growing up... I NEVER knew and was always taught to strive to achieve my best, respect my elders, and make a difference in the world.... and I saw those that stood by my parents the entire time and stayed true... I remember.....

I've got to keep busy, have projects going, I'm always finding new projects I want to try... which is why the SCA is such a great place, there are tons of arts and sciences out there and people sharing how to do them :)
so when I'm not doing something artsy (writing, drawing, woodworking, painting, fiber arts.....) I work on computers and try to make a difference in the world. It gets hard sometimes because there are so many negative people in this world and so many who think their way is THE way and the rest of us are going to hell because we don't do things their way :) but you learn to brush them off and keep going..... :)
Finally I work to host the "I Love to Write Week" celebration each year at the local school, I want to expand this to cover every single grade but the contests depend upon donations for the prizes... usually journals to encourage expression and free writing.... Writing ties in as much as reading in the way the mind develops and the more a person writes and makes connections and pushes their boundaries with vocabulary and writing, the better things start to pull together and click in their life with all their subjects and their learning.... the artistic skills are key to development in a student's life, pulling all the skills and information they are getting together and helping them develop themselves further.... there is a huge difference between the work turned in by students who have written and read more in life than those who were not encourage to do so...huge... and as time has gone on students start to hate or fear writing as the opportunity and encouragement to write for themselves or creatively become less and less.... and they start to think "horrid term paper" whenever you mention writing instead of "fun challenge". So I started the Write Week program and with the help of a most wonderful literature teacher in the high school it really took off with the students the last three / four years.... it is a total joy to see the student's writings develop and grow over the year after they experience the challenge and rewards of the contest each fall.... but for this to be rewarding to the students they need encouragement .... which comes right now in the form of prizes for the contest... journals and writing related items.... there have been some fantastic companies that have supported this over the years as well as individuals but that needs to keep going each year....
so there you go... those are all my passions besides my true friends who have stood by me in everything and my family who support me in all things :)

I remember when I had my first two kiddos...the feeling of being a mommy to girl AND a boy. It was soo sweet. Still is but I have three of each! :D Enjoy them alot now because as they get older you get that feeling or thoughts of ...'I wish they were babies again.' I get that all the time especially when I'm around my nieces and nephews....oh' and my nephew :baby" Fremont's lil boy Monte. :] So once again--CONGRATS!

on your info about the daycare she needs to contact anthony and get the number to the big casino in minnesota they usually help with stuff to do with daycare but she needs to write a proposal and have it in a timely manner with what the funds are needed for, quotes and explain the situation. also I know when they started WOT daycare it all started with good old footwork,phonecalls, fundraisers, and the support of the community, parents, tribal reps, the newspaper. she needs to get with Karen Totten and find out where she can get grants, or anything. I think she would know more about that.
