La famille Catastrophe was the solo project of Simon from electro-indie-poppers mutt ramon. However himself and bass player Tim have recently formed the nithings, with Tim switching to lead guitar, where they have been joined by Steve on bass and Erik on drums.
The Cafe Song was released on the Vol 8 Compilation from Series Two Records (July 2008), and La Famille Catastrophe played a handful of gigs including Lostmusic Presents... at The Enterprise in London (Sept 2008), Exeter Goes Pop! (Jan 2008), IndieTracks Festival 2007, and Mocophone (Sheffield, 2007).
