      New Year’s Reflections

looking back on the months gone by,
as a new year starts and an old one ends,
we contemplate what brought us joy,
and we think of our loved ones and our friends.

    Recalling all the happy times,
remembering how they enriched our lives,
we reflect upon who really counts,
as the fresh and bright New Year arrives.

And when I ponder those who do,
    I immediately think of you.

      Happy Birthday, Special Treasure
God gave a gift to the world when you were born—
a person who loves, who cares,
who sees a person’s need and fills it,
who encourages and lifts people up,
    who spends energy on others
    rather than herself,
someone who touches each life she enters,
and makes a difference in the world,
because ripples of kindness flow outward
as each person you have touched, touches others.
Your birthday deserves to be a national holiday,
because you are a special treasure
    for all that you’ve done.
May the love you have shown to others
    return to you, multiplied.
I wish you the happiest of birthdays,
    and many, many more,
so that others have time to appreciate you
    as much as I do.

About me:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. ~ by Marianne Williamson Dance Love Sing Live Pictures

I did not learn any of this in school. Schools don't teach the important stuff in the world. My parents taught me about this kind of world view and I am forever grateful to them. My grandparents have also been a great influence as well. Everyone who understands we need to change the way we are living and are really doing something about it. Green Philanthropi$$ts and Angel InVe$$$Tors who are committed to investing in Green Living and Technology to help us reduce our global pollution. Peaceful, thoughtful, compassionate, creative, loving, courageous people who are REALLY trying to make a difference in this world to help put a face on all the work done by so many who go unrecognized for what work they humbly do. People who are creating and supporting renewable energy ALL around the world. People who are involved in organic farming and gardening, and sustainable growth so the wild animals still have room to roam. Companies who make food to sell to the general public that is free from artificial flavors, artificial colors, is fair trade, organic or moving in that direction, cruelty free, vegetarian/vegan (and if with meat, it must be organic - no slaughterhouse animals). Famous people who use their fame to make a difference in the above areas and support the best charities that really help others less fortunate. Also, when these same celebrities selflessly use their voice for those who have no voice, it helps tremendously. Non-famous people who barely get any credit for the work they do, are speaking out against human rights abuse world-wide, and are working for real change, are the major heroes in all of this. True peacemakers never kill and use peace to create peace. Peace is the only way. Christ was a Peacemaker.
