Laid Back Country Picker has been pick'n since 1967. He started out driving Charlie Pride's bus but switched to guitar when someone broke Charlie's hand up around Kermit, WV. He moved up through the Nashville ranks, playing with Hank Snow, Lynn Anderson and Tommy Overstreet. Close friend Johnny Paycheck told him "Son, sing like you've had your food stamps stolen." The rest is history.
