Music
I'm a New Jersey working class rock n roll girl. I'm a Beatles freak first and foremost. After thats its all British invasion stuff, The Stones, The Who, The Kinks and Cream. I also love R&B -- I'm really big on Stevie Wonder and Etta James. I love all music from 70s, Glam, Disco, Soul, Punk, Rock you name it, its the decade of everything sacred to me, including platform shoes. I also love Kate Nash, The Fratellis, Wolfmother, The Brazilian Girls, Jonathan Richmond, Beck, Sleater-Kinney Stereolab, Belle & Sebastian, The Scissor Sisters, Fatboy Slim, The Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul. On and on it could go. The very best present anyone could give me would to burn me a mixed CD of your favorite music or music you think I'd dig.
Movies
Anything and everything indie. I'm a movie nut and it would take me too long to tell you everything. I love Mike Leigh especially, I'll watch anything he does. I also love old movies from the 30s and 40s for the beautiful clothes and hair. Freaks by Todd Browning would be on my top five for sure. I love Robert Altman's stuff from the 70s. I love crazy, gross out comedy, the lower grade the better. I love ..aries like Grey Gardens and An American Movie. Horror is always cool with me. Spinal Tap still makes me laugh my ass off.
Television
If there's any kind of profile on any kind of crime,mental hospitals or prison you best believe I'll watch it. Otherwise I'm into The Simpsons, The Sopranos, Deadwood, everything on Adult Swim and a lot of stuff on Animal Planet and Court TV. Oh and Project Runway, Top Chef and America's Next Top Model, thats like watching porn for me. But I don't keep up with TV so well, I'm not home enough and watch everything in the middle of the night.
Books
Its very extreme. I love the homespun goodness of Anne Tyler but I'm also a hard core Charles Bukowski fan. I have about six bookshelves in my home, so yes I read a lot of everything.
Heroes
John Lennon, Charles Bukowksi, my Mom (who gave me attitude), my Dad (who gave me a philosophy) and my Sister (who gave me style)and Amelia Bedelia, I've patterned my entire life after that delightful, nutty, little maid.
About me: I'm the proud publicist of Penthouse Magazine and I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have found just the right place for me.
