Influences
....oh no!!! what can i say? from billie Holiday to Bjork? From Stockhausen to Gorecki?
from Hendrix to Matmos? from Mingus to Lachenmann? ethnic,pop,classical...Gnawa, ragas, sufi ? Please.....
Eno, scott, reich, ligeti,britten,varese?...handel, haydn, strauss's lieders, mozart...??? did they influence my music or should i say they first have feed my mind?
i don't know.
****
and I would also say..lately silence is my preferred sound.
Everykind of music can bother me, mine first!
I think there are not only musical influences, but life experiences, culture context, literature, inclinations..which contribute to create an artistic dimension.
The way to perceive and use memories, love, hate, our fears..
and especially limits, they gave us the form (shape?)..and as we suppose, form is substance.
How could we get the meaning of Picasso or Reich for example, without contemplate first their visible form?
*******
And then paintings, colors..perfumes...relationships..
However, La Jovenc's music it's experimental, electronic, sometime jazzy and sometime concrete music, but warm, ritual and apocryphal.
It cames from somewhere in the past, it's here and now for a while and i don't know where it will goes.

Recorded: live on March 16, 2003 at the Beta Lounge in San Francisco
In 1967, San Francisco’s Fifty Foot Hose were certainly one of the
innovators of a sound that took Psychedelia to new heights and was
captured on the band’s one record, Cauldron. They are a totally
unique hybrid—on one hand pulsating bay area acid rock, on the other,
fractured electronic freakery, becoming one whole cohesive being. The
sci-fi-ish video game-like artwork hinted at the sounds within, as did
the Limelight label’s pedigree for truly progressive sounds. Band
leader, Cork Marcheschi, used homemade electronic devices to create
crude and experimental soundscapes and instrumental compositions that
were sprinkled throughout the album.
Often starting shows with a swelling rumble that exploded into the
first song, they soon developed a rabid following on the SF scene,
though there was the occasional totally wrong gig, like when a
very-pregnant Nancy had to perform at a Catholic Girls’ school! Still,
the group wowed the crowds, performing with greats like Chuck Berry and
Fairport Convention.
