Information about the Great Lakes:
The Great Lakes are located in the northeastern quadrant of the US and occupy the border with Canada. They consist of five connected lakes: Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie and Ontario.
Superior (which makes up the northern border of Wisconsin) is the largest single freshwater lake in the world. Lake Michigan (which makes up the eastern border of Wisconsin) and Lake Huron are the third and fourth largest (Lake Victoria being the second), although some consider them to be one single superlake (due to the fact that water flows both ways between them) which would be larger than Superior and would make THEM the largest freshwater lake in the world.
The Caspian Sea is the largest lake in the world, however, it is not freshwater (which is probably why they called it a Sea.)
Another source listed the Aural Sea in Russia as the second largest freshwater lake in the world, but it is apparently rapidly shrinking causing it to move farther down in the ranks... |

About me:
My name is Scarlet. I have been walking an eclectic pagan path for much of my life. I dedicated in 2003 and have been an active member of various online pagan communities. I consider myself somewhat of a beginner as there is always so much to learn. I've found that I'm most aware of learning when I am talking through or discussing topics, which is one reason I decided to launch a podcast, to help me talk through issues that interest me and share my ideas in hopes of generating discussions and questions that will further my learning (and if I help anyone else learn with me, I feel I've accomplished my goal as a podcaster.)
I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a charming city in a lovely state on the western shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. It is from Her (the Lake) that I receive the greatest solace and spiritual strength and my hope is to celebrate Her and the proud land I live in.
I'm also somewhat athletic. Many of my favorite activities bring me outdoors. I do triathlons, canoeing and fishing and occasionally, I hunt for food with my husband.

Who I'd like to meet:
I'd like to meet Wisconsin (especially Milwaukee area) pagans and/or musicians/artists who have something they'd like me to discuss or promote in my podcast. I'd love to support my community by promoting local (or even not-so-local) events, groups, shops and artists!
If you are local, it does not even have to be specifically pagan or even spiritual in nature... if I like it or it inspires me, I'd be happy to include it!
