Amy Armstrong and Freddy Allen have been captivating audiences for over ten years and have performed in cities coast to coast, including sold-out run in Los Angeles, New York, Key West, San Francisco, St. Paul, Seattle, Detroit, Saugatuck, Provincetown, Denver, Puerto Vallarta, Ft. Lauderdale, Grand Rapids and Chicago. Their appeal is international. In 1998, their travels took them to Denmark where they were the featured artists at Copenhagen’s New Year’s Concert.
For over six years, they have been one of the most popular cabaret acts for RSVP Cruise Lines, which hired Amy and Freddy as their 2006 “Entertainment Ambassadors.” The duo is as comfortable headlining showrooms and performing arts centers as they are opening for such notables as Mary Wilson and the Supremes, Phyllis Diller, Bea Arthur, Jennifer Holiday and Judy Gold.

RETURNING 2008:
Colonel Ritter's Spectacular Hour of Wonderment [S.H.O.W.]
About me: Lakeshore Theater features the country’s top, edgy comedians, with current engagements including Sweeney, Doug Stanhope, Mike Birbiglia, Maria Bamford and Scott Capurro.
"We want to provide a venue in Chicago for the edgiest, most challenging, rule-breaking comics working today."
--Chris Ritter, Owner & Artistic Director
Instead of the more mainstream fare found at other local theaters and clubs, Lakeshore Theater offers programming you won’t see anywhere else in Chicago. We hope to introduce some new artists and their work to the Chicago audience, and make Lakeshore Theater the place to see smart, adventurous comedy presented as art by genuine artists.
Who I'd like to meet: More people as supportive as Matt and Steve.
"There is indeed a certain passivity to...sensation, as if you were a leaf blown along by the wind, until you realize that you are both the leaf and the wind. The world outside your skin is just as the world inside: they move inseparably...There is a feeling of the ground holding you up, and of hills lifting you when you climb them. Air breathes itself in and out of your lungs, and instead of looking and listening, light and sound come to you on their own. Eyes see and ears hear as wind blows and water flows. All space becomes your mind. Time carries you along like a river, but never flows out of the present: the more it goes, the more it stays, and you no longer have to fight or kill it." from The Book by Alan Watts
