sci-fi, music, books, writing, art, music, weaving, scrapbooking, beadwork, music, quilting, embroidery, music, my Creative Zen Vision:M named Kosh, Artist Trading Cards, zines, stamping, did I mention music? Mostly alternative, but I like a little of everything. I've been known to occasionally find a rap song that doesn't suck (that is truly rare, though) - same with modern country music. Now, give me Johnny Cash or John Denver or Marty Robbins, and I can listen to them for at least a day without killing anyone, but the stuff they put out now can induce fits of violent rage worse than death metal. :-) I actually prefer a nice mix, which is why I don't go anywhere without my Zen and charging cord. I am also slightly addicted to anything having to do with Star Wars, Star Trek (poor Enterprise - sniff), BSG, etc. Not quite as hyper in to it as I once was, but still have my front room decorated with SW posters, plates, and a wall-hanging until I get a place large enough for a media room. So. Scared yet? :-)
Music
Audioslave, Matt Jones, The Feds, Limp Bizkit, Green Day, Tool, Fuel, Bush, Linkin Park, Nickelback, Fiona Apple, Air Supply, Mandy Patinkin, Sarah McLachlan, Meredith Brooks, Barenaked Ladies, Alanis Morissette, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Foo Fighters, STP, Eisley, Nine Inch Nails, Flyleaf, My Chemical Romance, REM, The Bison Chips, The Beautiful Mistake, Joan Osborne, Enya, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Gary Jules, TFF, Ghost of the Robot, Weezer, Helen Reddy, Beatles, Beach Boys, Default, Chicago, Heart, Moody Blues, Queen, Natalie Merchant, Whipping Brady, James Taylor, Paul Anka, John Williams, Tchaikovsky, TSO, Evanescence, Pink Floyd
Movies
Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Ever After, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasia, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Tenth Kingdom, Ella Enchanted, The Lake House, Alien, (the other Alien movies too), Predator, AvP, Terminator, T2, Shrek, Toy Story, The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, Sum of All Fears, Fugitive, US Marshalls, Men in Black, Independance Day, Mission: Impossible, Chronicles of Narnia, Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Television
Battlestar Galactica, All My Children, OLTL, General Hospital, Prison Break, 24, Navy: NCIS, Supernatural, The Unit, Boston Legal, Veronica Mars, CSI (the original), W/O a Trace, Alias (sigh), Law and Order, Crossing Jordan, Criminal Minds, Jericho, Dr. Who, Nip/Tuck (because I adore Julian McMahon)
Books
why don't they just say authors instead? Karen Armstrong, Kahlil Gibran, Richard Bach - Illusions is one book that does stand out - Kurt Vonnegut (Slaughterhouse 5 is another), Guy Gavriel Kay, T. H. White, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Lloyd Alexander, George R R Martin, Anne McCaffery, C. S. Lewis, Walter Farley, Neal Stephenson, Robin McKinley, many more...
Heroes
cowboys, chipmunks, Alvin! - Luke Skywalker, Spock, Captain Kirk - wait, do they want real people? Hmmmm. Have to think about that for a while. Saying my dad because he was a Marine in Vietnam sounds corny even though it is true. My grandpa always fell in that category because he had a race car and over 50 trophies from the local drag strip, too. That led to my love of racing and so Dale Earnhardt was my hero for over 20 years. Pretty much anyone to ever even qualify for astronaut training has my undying admiration as well. And fighting for your country definitely scores points.

Clubs: Was in German club one year despite not taking the class. Was something of the science club senior year when a bunch of us decided we needed to make one for the yearbook pictures. Was in choir always - Choralettes and then - oh, hell. What was the mixed group that was harder to get into?? You'd think I'd remember that. Choralaires? All I can remember is Lancer/Lancerettes from Jardine! And Choralettes might have been at ESU, now that I think about it. My how time flies... Was also in NH

About me: Hi! I read my profile just now and realized how much my life has changed in the last year!!
I am a 39 yr old lab tech who works for a medical staffing agency - I move every 3 to 6 months, and I love it. I have an African Grey parrot named Jerry, who may not love it quite as much as I do, but he adapts remarkably well for a parrot type who stereotypically resists change. So far we have been in Vermont/New Hampshire (we were on the border, living in one and I worked in the other) for three months, different towns in Kansas, and Brenham, Texas, home of Blue Bell ice cream.
Some kind of MySpace virus floating around... If you receive a msg from someone (or me) saying "RIP" and talking about someone that died...
Do not go to the link listed on the comment. It takes you to a blank sign-up page for MySpace and if you enter in your username and password again, then whoever is sending the virus has access to your MySpace account.
If you have done this recently, I would suggest you change your password as soon as you are able.
I just discovered this problem myself and had to change my password as well. MySpace is just one of those screwed up websites that it seems you have to resign on all the time anyway, so it didn't seem like any big deal to me until I started getting reports that others were receiving the RIP message from me.
