Kieran Michael Lalor

About me:

My name is Kieran Michael Lalor. I am a candidate for United States Congress in NY’s 19th Congressional District, a seat now occupied by freshman Democrat John Hall. This District includes my hometown of Wappingers Falls in Dutchess County and areas of Putnam, Westchester, Rockland and Orange Counties. It is with deep gratitude to my country and my fellow citizens that I seek to serve as a member of Congress.

I was born on January 23, 1976, in Wappingers Falls, New York, the fifth child of my parents' six children. My parents, Daniel and Patricia Lalor are orginally from the Bronx and continue to call Wappingers Falls home. After graduating from Providence College, I was a Social Studies teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie. Later, I joined the United States Marine Corps and served in Iraq in 2003. I recently received my law degree from Pace University School of Law. My wife, Mary Jo, also a Pace Law graduate, and I married in 2005 and live in Peekskill, NY, with our two young daughters, Katherine and Riley.

I formally declared my candidacy in November 2007. My campaign is founded upon the idea that individuals, and not the government, are most capable of sparking fundamental change. I am excited about the opportunity to represent my fellow Americans in Congress.
