Luna Nueva (New Moon) mine the archives of global roots music (Tex-Mex & Conjunto, vallenato, blues, and Fado) to create a bi-lingual blend of new music. Paying tribute to Conjunto (folk music born along the Tex-Mex border) Luna Nueva perform the early classics (Santiago Jimenez Sr., Paulino Bernal), and cover the women of South Texas from the 30's and 40's (Lydia Mendoza, Carmen y Laura). They blend musical stylings (blues, Americana, jazz) to brew up something new!

Luna Nueva is the musical journey of Tara Linda and Gilberto Reyes who sing in the early dueto style ~ boleros, rancheras, tangos, walzes, and cumbias.
