Lama is back. With our second release in 2009 we are back on the saddle.
This time with a record made as a band. "Look what you made us do" will be
released on Spoon Train Audio september 7th.
We are really happy with the way the record turned out!
We worked on it since the recording in january, and we are proud to say that we
have made a dynamic record that has all the side of Lama that you have been able
to see in our shows!
Roaring highs with tons of guitars and huge drums. But also there are quiet songs
inspired by bands like Elliott Smith, Motorpsycho and Radiohead.
Yesterday we released our brand new music video for the song "Then You..ll See".
One of the calmer tracks from "Look what you made us do" .
It was filmed by Feil Film , a great group of people from Oslo!
Hope you like both the video and the song :)
Lama is Nils Martin Larsen. Nils Martin Larsen is Lama.
A band that has evolved into its present form over the last 2 years.
That is two years of intense song-writing and studiowork to figure out what
the thoughts in my head sounds like. And here it is! More powerful than ever,
more pure than ever and music with roots all over the place!
The last 7 months has gone towards perfecting the live-portion of my beutiful Lama-land, and i am proud to present the result to you guys out there!
Live , Lama is an explosion. 6 people on stage, and enough instruments to make
the most eager musician blush. We are six people playing our hands, throats and feet
till they swell up. And i cant wait till as many of you as possible has witnessed this, my
proudest creation.
I am overwhelmed over the fact that i have been able to get these guys to play my music the way it was supposed to be played!
Goran Obad - guitars and effects
Andreas Løwe - rhodes, pedals, sqeeks and casio sk1
Jonas Vemøy - synths, glockenspiel, melodica and trumpet
Andreas Knudsrød - drums , triggers and samples.
Mats Greger - bass guitars
And i play guitars, reeds, keys, laptop and i sing.
we also have the nicest sound-tech in the world. mr Mads Størkersen
and the nicest light-tech and light-designer Per Marius Larsen. who happens to be
my brother as well..
So come on by to Lama-land!
The worlds loveliest festival Øya writes this about Lama. ;
"Nils Martin Larsen is a unique talent that up to now primarily has been famous for playing the keys in electronica jazz collective Jaga Jazzist, into which he was inducted at the age of eighteen. Three years down the road he has produced a handful of good songs which he presents in a world he refers to as Lamaland. On stage he has with him four other musicians who, in combination with the light design of Nils Martin’s brother, create a very special audiovisual live experience. Lama gave a very concert at Oslo venue Blå earlier this month, and we simply had to book them. When seeing Lama live, one can’t help but think of other quality acts. There’s no doubt that Lama is inspired by both Sigur Rós and Mew as well as Jaga Jazzist and Kim Hiorthøy. If you like one or more of these artists, then you’re sure to dig Lama. Welcome to Lamaland!"

Hjertelig takk!
