Joanne's Interests
General
John McArthur & Kirk Cameron on Salvation
Living Hope Ministries' documentary about PolygamyMormonism Research Ministry Lecture
Mormon Missionaries debate a preacher from Georgia
MY INTERESTS: Good literature (it's all subjective, isn't it?), Theology (obviously) Christian Church History Foreign Languages (currently retooling Spanish, hungry to study Greek and Hebrew someday!), visiting art museums (works showing yet another powerful form of expression as to how we interpret the world), running (with scissors!) laughing my head off, and singing (especially out loud in the car, to the chagrin of my passengers!).
Music
I'm all over the map over this one! And I am always looking to listening to something new, so hit me up with some hints why don'tcha! Casting Crowns, Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin Jane Monheit (love her!), The Carpenters, Olivia Newton-John (I know - get over it!), Salsa, Brazilian vocal music, Juanes, some hip-hop and classic R&B, and Braddah IZ (the late, great Hawaiian vocalist) for starters! My current IPOD rotation: None - I'm bored with music right now - downright uninspired - got any suggestions?
Movies
Gattaca (My Favorite of ALL TIME!!!!! - I love this movie so much, I buy copies whenever I find them and give them away to friends!), Hidalgo, (with Viggo Mortensen, a very close second), Gone with The Wind, Mildred Pierce (with Joan Crawford), Like Water for Chocolate (Foreign) Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (w/Johnny Depp - I've been banned from the family room now because this is the only movie I want to watch lately!)and many others too numerous to mention!
Television
WORD PICTURES (My favorite show EVER!!! - You've gotta watch it on CROSSTV or on the ANGEL Network!! - I now own my favorite in the series "A Workman Approved by God" - It will change your approach to bible study forever!!!) Faith in Action with A.R. Bernard (on TBN (I know, be careful with this channel!) or The Church Channel)
Books
Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell (after feeling digust over having been deceived by the Mormon church, and seriously considering atheism, this book gave me a reason to read the bible), How to Read the Bible for All its Worth by Gordon Fee, How We Got the Bible by Neil R. Lightfoot, Church History in Plain Language by Bruce L. Shelley, The God who is There by Francis Schaeffer, Walking from East to West by Ravi Zacharias. The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton (My favorite fiction book of all time!!!). Ethan Frome, also by Edith Wharton (I think I'm the only one from High School who liked it). And of course, the Bible (The book of Hebrews - my favorite)CURRENTLY READING: The Gospel According to Jesus - What He really means when He says, "Follow Me" by John MacArthur. .
Heroes
Need I say it? - Jesus Christ! Paul McGuire (www.kbrt740.com), John MacArthur (www.gty.com) and Mark Kielar (www.crosstv.com), A.R. Bernard (www.cccinfo.org because these dudes are straight shooters and don't mess around when it comes to proclaiming the REAL gospel of Jesus Christ. They rock!! I can't leave out the tangible heroes I've interacted with, who give me water on the sidelines during this Christian marathon I'm running: Sharon Taylor, Jim Spencer, Pastor Greg Opean, Pastor Ed Rea, The Vesseys (junior and senior!), Carmen Mechikoff's "prayer squad", my "siblings" at Calvary, and my ex-mo's (REPRESENT!!!)!

How are you doing. I haven't seen you in a while. Hope all is well.
I had an excellent two meetings with a pair of Mormon missionaries that stopped by my house. The Holy Spirit was leading, and we all left on very friendly terms. One of them even thanked me and said he "learned a lot".
hey Joanne that was a crazy bulletin you posted the (are you ready???) one, and also the secret meeting of congress stuff. The facts are amazing, praise God we have Jesus because it looks like everything is coming down very fast. thanks for the encouragement.
Ya if you could just give me the embeded code for it, that would be sweet. When I click on the menu, the code comes up, but it won't let me copy and paste it. It's really weird.
HI JOANNE! So nice to meet you Sister! Thanks for visiting and letting me know the Lord's presence in my life was a blessing to yours. Guess what! The feelings Mutual. I love profile and can't wait to spend time getting to know you better! God Bless.

Hey Joanne, I enjoyed myself too. As always, it's an honor to worship alongside other believers who have a passion for the ministry. It never gets old for me...... Peace, STEVE
It was nice seeing you too. Yes, I did get some more signatures. I'm still currently in the process of getting more though and I did tell my mom that you said "hi". You, my mom, and I should all do something soon when we all can again.
It is our pleasure to have you in our references. I am planning on posting more blogs so be on the lookout and subscribe. Im happy to hear you have left the lies of mormonism. G-D Bless you.
Hey you, I am so bummed I didn't get to see ya at church last Sunday or tonight. Unfortunately, I really had to be somewhere else. If you have a break in your schedule sometime this week let me know though. I would love to meet up to chat. Well I'm thinking about you and I love you.
Buenas late noches, After the gang went to sleep I took the time to listen fully to your testimony.....deep stuff...I will steer other friends of mine to meet you here in cyberspace so they can learn more about what true searching can yield an honest heart... Peace, STEVE
