La historia de Los Traviezos del Norte ha estado llena de sorpresas y satisfacciones a lo largo de estos últimos años.
Desde su canción “Mujer, Mujer” que sonó fuerte en todas las estaciones de radio y que fue tal su éxito que estuvo nominada para los Premios Lo Nuestro en el año 2000, y hasta hoy que regresan con su nueva propuesta musical todo se reduce a una sola palabra: talento.
Hablamos de una agrupación con temple, disciplinada y vanguardista que no se conforma con los ritmos tradicionales, cuya única limitación es su indiscutible talento e imaginación que hoy nos presentan en su nuevo álbum titulado “La Sota”.
Desde sus inicios hasta nuestros días Los Traviezos del Norte han evolucionado y en plena madurez artística siguen creando música para oídos exigentes, convertidos en una incansable fábrica de éxitos.
Nativos del estado de Michoacán, Los Traviezos nos presentan su primer corte promocional, homónimo del disco, canción que ya circula de manera exitosa en las radios de todo el país.
El álbum "La Sota", compuesto de 10 temas, se distingue por la versatilidad de los músicos quienes imprimen de manera singular su toque norteño que hacen acompañar del sonido de saxofón, combinación que los hacen sonar de manera diferente y armoniosa.
"El tema La Sota marca esas jugadas que a veces da la vida en cuestiones del amor", explicó el vocalista Ricardo López.
Esta producción es la número nueve en más de diez años de carrera artística, tiempo que se han mantenido en la preferencia del público conocedor de la música norteña.
Desde sus inicios en 1994, "Los Traviesos del Norte" han cosechado una serie de logros desde haber sido nominados con el álbum “Mis Quimeras” en el año 2000 como Grupo Revelación del Año en los Premios Lo Nuestro, hasta incursionar en las listas de Billboard con su éxito “Mujer, Mujer”, que se mantuvo por 30 semanas consecutivas en las listas de “Hot Latin Tracks”.
En entrevista, Ricardo López relató que debido a un accidente automovilístico tuvieron que abandonar la carrera por cerca de un año, y para el 2003 regresaron con nuevos integrantes, decididos a recuperar su lugar en el gusto del público.
"Tuvimos que hacer unos ligeros cambios porque algunos no pudieron superar lo acontecido en el accidente, en un momento pensamos que el grupo no regresaría pero gracias a Dios volvimos a tocar", recordó López.
En relación a la nueva propuesta musical que están promocionando mencionó que "la gente va a tener la oportunidad de escuchar un disco agradable, muy variado donde hay rancheritas, cumbias y canciones de amor y desamor".
