Lambergrass was formed in early 2006, originating from the idea of some friends in the Milano area, wich loved and attended Bluegrass jam sessions. They decided to try and form a bluegrass band.
The name comes from the name of a river, the Lambro, wich flows nearby Milan, and from the word Bluegrass.
The group is composed of 6 people, and two of them are very good singers. Lambergrass band is often joined by fiddle-extraordinaire Daniel Frey from Switzerland, that contribuites to the sound of the band with his traditional bluegrass style of fiddling.
The group's style it is inspired to the american traditional Bluegrass, country and folk music, with our arrangement.
In March 2008 and 2009 the band has played at Malpensa Horses Exibition (Italy) getting a good success. Lambergrass has played also to the Grabenmuhle Bluegrass Festival and to the "Luci e Ombre" in Locarno (Switzerland).
In August 2009 Lambergrass will be play at Val Verzasca Country Festival (Switzerland) and Grabenmuhle Bluegrass Festival (Switzerland).
