Lame Excuse is a punk/hardcore/thrash band from Boston, MA who play an array of different styles of music. Forming in August of 2004 the band quickly started writing and taking their music seriously. With influences including bands like: Black Flag, the Circle Jerks, the Subhumans, the Freeze, Slayer, DRI, and Slapshot; the band concentrates on performing a unique sound in a culture dominated by hooks, fashion, and stereotypes. Being compared to such great east coast punk/hardcore legends as Minor Threat and Agnostic Front is an honor they take very seriously as they are trying to bring aggression and energy back into the local scene. Lame Excuse is an angry young band, thriving on adrenaline and attempting to breathe life into a genre of music that has become no more then a gimmick. However dont go to a Lame Excuse show if you are not willing to hear a little variety because the band easily goes back and forth between heavy thrash style metal and hardcore, catchy ska/rock and roll, and straight ahead punk rock. The debut 7 song cd/ep is entitled "Kill Yourself or Die Trying" and is available here by messaging the band. They are currently writing/recording a full-length to be out within the coming year and are always looking for another show to play.
