About Lamexcuse - LAST SHOW FOR A FAIR WHILE 28TH AUGUST
A high-energy quartet hailing from Australia’s Capital; post-punk band Lamexcuse have fashioned an original voice in an ever-evolving industry of new alternative talent. With a unique approach to song writing and ever increasing musicianship, Lamexcuse are quickly being recognised as a band that is determined to have their music heard, as well as striving to succeed in a difficult, but rewarding industry.
Life. Like. Wild. is the debut album from Lamexcuse that features 14 tracks of hard hitting melodic post punk and successfully captures the band’s spirit. The album was recorded at Main Street Studios by Murray Adamson and mastered at The Blasting Room (Colorado, USA) by Jason Livermore (NOFX, Rise Against, No Use For A Name).
Life. Like. Wild. was released in September 2008 through AmpHead Music and is available in all major stores, as well as iTunes worldwide through The Orchard.

Here's what some people have said about Life. Like. Wild. so far...
"...Lamexcuse are a classic Canberra punk band. The group has drawn on a decade's worth of songwriting experience to deliver a debut LP jam packed with confident, well-rounded tracks, each one recorded with just the right amount of low-budget charm and solid meat-and-potatoes production. It just so happens to be one of the best feel-good punk records you will hear this year." - Rolling Stone Magazine
"...plenty of well written songs on show, an album to be proud of considering the lack of local acts that make it to the point of releasing a full length independently." - Bombshellzine.com
"...fans of a lot of Fat Wreck Chords 90’s releases will enjoy this album. Lamexcuse are a band I think we will be hearing more of soon." - Thedwarf.com.au
More reviews, as well as complete versions of the above quoted, will be posted in a blog shortly!
Life. Like. Wild. is also available from JB Hi-Fi nationwide, Leading Edge Music, Resist Records and other good independent record stores around Australia. If you can't find it on the shelves, you can order it in! December 2008 will see the physical release of Life. Like. Wild. into major record stores throughout Japan.
