The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns
Be forewarned!
Formed in the early 1990's, the Reach Around Rodeo Clowns are considered to be one of the pioneering United States East Coast psychobilly bands. They have released two red hot collections that have earned the band a world wide reputation and devout fan base. Their vibe is rooted in the origins of rockabilly and rock n roll, but they have taken this
music to a whole new level. They have combined the rawness of rock, the soul and heartbreak of country, with the attitude of ‘77 punk, mixing it with hard hitting rhythms and riffs. The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns have blurred the distinction between past, present and future and have discovered a signature sound that has made them a genre onto themselves.
The band has already released two albums (Llist Records) and has toured endlessly off of them. The combination of the records and their touring has earned the Clowns tons of radio play as well as features in magazines like Hot Rod, CMJ Music Monthly and many more. “Google” them and you will find page after page that references the band. Brothers Quentin (guitar) and Wendell (lead vocals) Jones formed the band in the early nineties in Lancaster, PA. The band is rounded out with distant cousin Dave Ferrara on drums and recently discovered half sister from Viet Nam, Linh Mai Ho on bass. (It seems their father got around during the war!)
2009 started a new chapter of the Clowns’ story. The band is now signed to one of the world’s premiere “roots” labels, Lanark Records, which is distributed by the Warner Brothers owned distribution network, A.D.A. This makes the Clowns music available to a world wide audience. Lanark is re-releasing the bands old favorites in one package called the “Reach Around Rodeo Clowns Greatest Hits!” to fill the constant demand for their back catalog.
Another major event during 2009 was the addition to the Clowns’ line up of vocalist Ace Filipini. Another second cousin, Ace has a long history with the band and in roots music. He is taking over the live singing duties from Wendell and splitting the lead vocals on all the new Clowns’ recordings.
Quentin, Wendell, Ace, Dave and Lynn are putting the finishing touches on their new release that will hit the streets in early 2010. This project will set a new standard for roots music. Once again, this original band has raised the bar on everyone.
Be forewarned!

Charlie Gracie
Charlie Gracie is one of a diminishing number of rock-n-roll innovators, who continues to actively perform. A native of South Philadelphia, he became the first successful recording star of the "Rock Era" to emerge from that neighborhood. In 1957, Charlie's 'Butterfly' topped the American and British music charts, selling over 3 million copies. His other late fifties big sellers include: 'Fabulous', 'Ninety-Nine Ways', 'Wanderin Eyes' and 'I Love You So Much It Hurts'. These hits bankrolled Philly's famous Cameo-Parkway record label, making it a dominant force in the music industry for nearly a decade! At the height of his fame, Charlie frequently appeared on 'Dick Clark's American Bandstand', 'The Ed Sullivan Show', and 'Alan Freed's TV Specials'. He headlined shows at the Brooklyn Paramount, the Casino Royale in Washington, The 500 Club in Atlantic City, and Old Connie Mack Stadium in Philadelphia. Charlie's star burned even brighter in Great Britain where he became the second American artist to bring rock-n-roll to the English concert stage. Preceded only by Bill Haley, Charlie headlined the London Palladium and Hippodrome receiving outstanding receptions from the press and public. To this day, Charlie Gracie, is a much loved and respected performer the length and breadth of the United Kingdom.
While Charlie has earned a place in rock music history, this is only one dimension to a career that spans forty years. His versatility makes him the consummate music man! Today, Charlie enjoys a strong following at clubs and resorts along the northeast corridor of the U.S. Twice, annually, he performs to large audiences in countries such as: England, Italy, Germany, Austria, Finland, Spain and Holland. His superb guitar playing elicits the highest of praise from music legends like George Harrison. The ex-Beatle referred to Charlie's
guitar work as 'brilliant' in a March 1996 interview with Billboard Magazine. Paul McCartney paid tribute to Charlie by Recording an updated version of 'Fabulous' in his new 1999 CD series entitled: "Run Devil Run". McCartney honored Charlie again that fall by inviting him to the album's premiere party in London.
The year 2000 found Charlie on the road with Irish blues rocker, Van Morrison. Van, another Charlie Gracie admirer, commissioned him to open his shows at the Wiltern in Los Angeles and The House of Blues in Las Vegas. A short time later, Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young fame, declared that Charlie inspired him to a musical career. Nash then proceeded to contribute vocally on Charlie's latest CD release-his first of the new Millennium.
It is obvious why Charlie Gracie has lasted the course longer than most. He is an accomplished musician and an exceptional talent - a devoted family man who conducts himself as a gentleman both on stage and off. He is a credit to his industry. *Charlie was voted into Great Britain's Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame (1998) founded by "Now Dig This" magazine.

Dibbs Preston and Quentin.Jones
Stephen "Dibbs" Preston was born and raised in the Harrow section of London, England.
Having been brought up in a home that always had music playing, it was just a matter of time before
the young Dibbs embraced the notion of joining a band. Particularly knocked-out by a sound
known as "Rockabilly", Dibbs got together with his mates Levi Dexter and Smutty Smith. Dibbs, Levi & Smutty made up the nucleus of the very influential U.K. neo-rockabilly band called "Levi & The Rockats".
The band created quite a stir on both sides of the Atlantic with their revved-up, but still pure, version
of the early rockabilly sound that they adored."Levi and The Rockats" appeared on several U.S. TV programs including "The Merv Griffin Show","The Midnight Special"and "Don Kirschner's Rock Concert".
Levi Dexter left the band at the end of 1979. His departure left the band without a vocalist. Always a brilliant singer who often sang many of the songs that Levi and The Rockats played live, Dibbs stepped to the front and grabbed the mic. The band carried on as "The Rockats".
Signed to RCA in 1982, The Rockats took off like a bequiffed space shuttle. An EP called, "Make That Move" was released in early 1982. The title track became a big hit and helped the band land a roll (as themselves) in the film "Where The Boys Are '84".
The Rockats stopped playing and then reformed in various combinations throughout the early 1990s and have played as recently as 2006. Several CDs under The Rockats banner were released from 1992 - 2005.
In 2006, Dibbs and his wife moved to Glenside, Pennsylvania. A little suburb just outside of Philadelphia. There, Dibbs preformed will his band the Detonators and they went on to open for the Brian Setzer Orchestra.
At the end of 2008, Dibbs teamed up with guitarist and producer, Quentin Jones. Quentin is a founding member of the cult band “The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns”. Quentin has written music for rockabilly stars Charlie Gracie and Lee Rocker, some of which was use on the hit network show, “Numb3rs”. Quentin has is known as a top flight rockabilly guitarist for his work with Robert Gordon and Charlie Gracie. Quentin has even played lead guitar for sixties star Peter Noone and Herman Hermits.
Dibbs and Jones will be writing, recording and performing authentic rockabilly music with a modern edge and twist. When finished, the new Cd will be released world wide on Lanark Records. Dibbs and Quentin will be touring with label mates Nick Kane and the Lanark Kings and the Reach Around Rodeo Clowns on the ‘Lanark Caravan of Stars’ tour.
