Ka Boom loves all kinds of music. His personal record collection, played throughout baseball games at Clear Channel Stadium, includes music from all eras and genres. KB and the JetHawks have been featured on a number of TV news programs. Most recently, KB and the ball club have been featured on a series of Red Sox related shows for NESN Television in Boston. JetHawks players and front office personnel are also frequent guests on Time Warner Cable's Channel 3 News in the Antelope Valley.Books
KB loves to read all kinds of books! In fact, KB started "Ka Boom's Reading Challenge", giving kids a chance to meet their school's reading goal to earn a free ticket to a JetHawks game. KB travels all over the Antelope Valley conducting assemblies and encouraging kids to read. One of his current favorites is "Field of Hope", written by former JetHawks manager and big league All-Star Brett Butler.Heroes

The Lancaster JetHawks Professional Baseball Club is the Class-A California League affiliate of the Houston Astros. The JetHawks' first season in the Cal league was in 1996. This is the PLACE TO SEE THE ASTROS OF THE FUTURE. The JetHawks host top prospects from the Astros organization every summer in their attempts to move their way up to the Big Leagues!The JetHawks have had many of the game's brightest young stars suit up in their 14 year history. 2006 Cy Young Award winner Brandon Webb, All-Stars Dan Uggla and Brian Fuentes, as well as up-and-coming stars Conor Jackson, Stephen Drew, Justin Masterson and Carlos Quentin all starred for the JetHawks.
Beautiful Clear Channel Stadium is the home ballpark for the JetHawks. Located just 60 miles north of Los Angeles in the Antelope Valley, the JetHawks are the only affiliated minor league baseball team in Los Angeles County. The name "JetHawks" honors the local aerospace industry. The nation's leading aerospace manufacturers all have a presence in the Antelope Valley, which also is the home of the legendary Edwards Air Force Base. The base, featured prominently in "The Right Stuff", was where Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier, where several key Air Force planes were tested, and even serves as a landing site for the space program.
