As sung by Lance Horne on the evening of ACCEPTANCE, Saturday night, June 28, 2008.
HERE AT FLORANT !
You wanna hear something new? I'm happy. You wanna know something else? It's fine.
It takes some time to realize you survived, When all this time you thought you never should. Like someone else should get to be The one reflected back at me,
And it's good that we're here tonight, And it's good that time goes by, And it's good that in spite of plans To blow us up or tear us down, we survive.
There's a moon, there is still a moon, There are birds, there will alwayss be birds And I've been given a voice and a pair of hands And a chance to feel alive Here at Florent.
You wanna know something deep? The ocean. You wanna know something else? Your tears.
It takes some time to realize you're home When every time you turn around you're not You ride this salty carousel, You spin so fast, it's hard to tell
It's good that I love so deeply, And it's good that I feel the tide, And it's good that in spite of fears Our names will wash away in the tide, we endure.
There's a plane that brought me here, There's a boat to take me away To a place where I will someday lie, But to tell the truth, I'm happy here tonight Here at Florent, here at Florent, here at Florent.
****************** THANK YOU, LANCE ! YOU, SIR, ARE BRILLIANT ! A GENIUS !
