Food brings people together. The human race loves food. It awakens the senses and releases endorphins in the body. It is the center of our lives.
We are Lacey and Laurel Henderson. We are two sisters from a small town who have plans of owning a bakery in the Exeter California area. We have both been baking and cooking our whole lives and have both decided to make it our lives work. Both of us, as well as our two older sisters and our two brothers, were raised with a vegetarian diet. We both chose to keep this way of life. We grew up in a family that never ate store-bought bread, never had hamburger helper or any sort of pre-packaged foods. We grew our own food and prepared our own meals. That started with our Mom, Violet. She always cooked everything. So we learned from her. We loved helping her in the kitchen preparing everything from homegrown salad to fried tofu to chocolate chip cookies. As we grew up we each developed in our own cooking skills. While Lacey specializes in creating beautiful pasta dished and breads from scratch, and while Laurel loves the art of candy making and cakes, we both thrive in the art of baking and culinary in general. We have so much support right now in our bakery and we plan to open within the next 3-5 years.
We are both currently attending College of the Sequoias, and we are both majoring in business.
