About me: Landmark Park, located 2.7 miles north of Dothan, Alabama's Ross Clark Circle, is a 100-acre facility dedicated to preserving the cultural and natural heritage of the Wiregrass Region.
Features of the park include an 1890s farmstead, complete with crops and buildings, plus animals typical of the period, including goats, sheep, chickens, mules, cows and bees.
In addition, visitors will find a crossroads village where they can visit the turn-of-the century Headland Presbyterian Church, a one-room school, the Shelley General Store, the Martin Drugstore and a Victorian-style gazebo.
Children and parents will love the large Barnyard playground and pavilion as well as the nature trails, elevated boardwalk, wildlife exhibits, picnic areas and StarLab Planetarium. The Stokes Activity Barn is the perfect location for your wedding, party or special event. Or, have your birthday party at the Playground Pavilion. Alabama's official Museum of Agriculture is also located at the park.
Landmark Park is open year-round except on New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Regular park hours are Mon.-Sat., 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sun., noon-6 p.m.
