Warm tone, two tons of it on melted butter like a sunset. It’s dirty Mississippi river water boiling over the edges of a wrought-iron pot. It’s sticky cane syrup on your fingertips. It’s an army of funkadelic soldiers with strobe lights for faces, flailing their arms like mad and stomping the ground; all in sync. It’s a slow animal, but it moves nice, and it’ll cut you if you touch it, it’s a silent movie without subtitles………We also sound a little like John Mayer.
Landry & Leppelman primarily consists of the combined talents of singer/songwriter Andrew Landry and guitarist Scott Leppelman. Andrew had been writing songs and poetry for a few years while attending the University of Southern Mississippi. He never really examined his musical potential until he moved to Rio Rancho New Mexico in 2006 to attend the University Of New Mexico. Scott was attending New Mexico State University at the time in Las Cruces and met Andrew while visiting his parents. They have been writing music and collaborating ever since then. Landry & Leppelman continue to write and produce their own music as independent, unsigned artists from their home studio in Rio Rancho New Mexico.
I'm diggin' "Drifter", though I think it might sound better if you were to tweak with the volume on the distorted electric parts, but thats just my .02. Great work, as usual.
Hey! How are you guys doing? You playing anywhere these days? Come check us out this Thursday at the Nob Hill Shop and Stroll. We'll be at Amherst and Central. It should be fun! -Chrystal
