GENERATION LANDSLIDE
This band was formed in 2003 in Modena Italy as Landslide Ladies. From day one the band goal is to put themselves and their stories to music. Rock and roll immediately becomes the narrating voice chosen for their tale. Standing in the middle of a whirlwind of genres with a rock impromptu this band seems doomed to be themselves because incapable to pretend. Clashing hysterically together the flamboyant sass of early glam rock, the typical starkness of punk rock, a power pop taste for catchy melodies and an hi powered rock and roll approach those guys are always able to win the day, delivering the good through a truly unique sound that brings back an in your face attitude. Recently the band monicker has been changed to Lester and the Landslide Ladies after the numerous alternations that have left Lester Greenowski, singer and main author, as the only “survivor”. Despite all of the shit those guys have been through this band has never stopped performing and keeps playing restlessly since this is their natural condition. The affection of the audience and the press likes that have always supported the band can only be motivation in order to continue their own travel sure not to be alone.

After last year’s wildly-successful 25th anniversary Batcave event, The Batcave returns to its original spawning ground of London’s West End on Sunday July 19 for another night of blasphemy, lechery and blood.
Specimen (Fresh from a fantastic show at Leipzig’s Waves Gotik festival), the original Batcave instigators will headline the lurid frolics at the Embassy Club, (29 Old Burlington St, London W1S3AP) Also on the bill are original Batcavers Sexbeat, with DJs Hamish and Cavey Nick, cavorting from decks to decadence with the usual brutal, trouser-dropping surprises & suitably confronting & barbaric entertainment.
The 2009 Batcave will feature installations from exciting new artists of the ‘Dark London Underground’ and visuals from the upcoming ‘Welcome To The Batcave’ book, along with this year’s bitcrushed message from the creature in the Batcave Pram. All set in a spooky Bladerunner environment!

L’Assessorato alle Politiche Culturali, quello alle Politiche Giovanili di Carpi e Spazio Giovani Mac'é!, in collaborazione con l'Associazione Eco-Culturale Ekidna, presentano il BE FOLK festival, una serata all'insegna dell'ottima musica. Sabato 4 luglio, presso l’Ekidna di San Martino Secchia, dalle ore 21.30 si alterneranno sul palco lo storico gruppo carpigiano “Il Contemporaneo” che proporrà il suo vasto repertorio di musica folk e popolare, il duo folk'n'roll palermitano “ Il pan del diavolo” impegnato nel primo tour italiano e il cantautore bergamasco “Caso” proveniente dal circuito punk italiano.
Il BE FOLK festival rientra nel cartellone estivo COSì LONTANO, COSì VICINO - Iniziative culturali nelle frazioni di Carpi.
L'ingresso è gratuito e dalle ore 19.30 si potrà usufruire dell’angolo ristoro con pizza, panini e bar. Il centro culturale Ekidna si trova a San Martino Secchia, via Livorno n° 9, Carpi (MO)
