Thanks for the add. The Florida Linux Show 2008 is truly a conference and exhibit that has a growing number of supporters on a local and national level. From Jon "Maddog" Hall, and Robin “RobLimo” Miller, to Dan McDougall, president of the Jacksonville Linux SIG, this conference will bring together, Linux professionals and users throughout the state. Additionally, Apple and Windows users will be able to view into the realm of Linux, possibly for the first time and make their own call on how to it in the personal and professional lives. The Florida Linux Show 2008, will also give up a bit of ground to the Windows community by providing exhibit space in an area dubbed "The Windows Petting Zoo". The Windows Petting Zoo will feature Windows demonstrations, software, hardware, local vendor advice. Additionally, the Macintosh users will have their own floor space in an area dubbed "The Apple Orchard". The Apple Orchard will provide Apple users the ultimate in Apple’s latest hardware and software. This diversity in Operating Systems gives each user group an opportunity to meet and mingle with the Linux Community from the national, state, and local levels to forge new alliances and bring Jacksonville and Florida in line with strategic initiatives that allow each group to understand why their OS is more appropriate in a given business or home computing situation.
