  A peaceful and safe New Year for everyone everywhere. By the time I reached my final scene with the United States Air Force and its voyage of war discoveries I was crying, savvy mate? --weeping for the inconsolable losses, the desperate decisions, the long death of innocence.


I remember it was in 1969 than American President Richard Nixon said, “Let us understand: North Viet Nam cannot defeat or humiliate the United States. Only Americans can do that.” Not true. That’s just simply not true. We need to know upfront that defeat and humiliation is always a chance in war, which is why it’s always better not to go to war. In violence we forget who we are. A blow in cold blood neither can nor should be forgiven only learned to live with. Only those who go out beyond the end of street lights and pavement know how such things can happen. We need more political anti-war music the likes of Country Joe and the Fish and political anti-war paintings like Pablo Picasso's Guernica.


When a politician speaks to you about a preventive war, you tell them to go and fight it. After my experiences in the United States Air Force, I have come to hate war.

  Instead of vowing to honor and obey each other, we should swear to aid and abet each other.


Human physiology does not direct all of its own functions; it is interdependent. It must be steadied by the physical presence of another. This is necessary for both physical and emotional health. In many ways, humans cannot be stable on their own—they require another to survive.


If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself alone. A man should keep his friendships in constant repair.

But whether it be dream or truth, to do well is what matters. If it be truth, for truth's sake. If not, then to gain friends for the time when we awaken.
