The Langnau Jazz Nights, North Star of the international Swiss jazz summer, are a reflection of contemporary jazz. Some of the highlights of this year’s program are: Jeff "Tain" Watts Quartet, Brad Shepik Human Activity Suite, Miguel Zenon Quartet, Joe Bowie's Defunkt Soul and much more.
The above bands are adding to the hall of fame of great musicians that performed at the festival in previous years which include: John Scofield and Chris Potter, Carla Bley, Geri Allen und Tanja Maria, Roy Hargrove, Wallace Roney und Julio Baretto, Aaron Goldberg, Matt Wilson, Ron Carter und Jacky Terrasson, Dave Liebman, Steve Swallow and Adam Nussbaum and much more!
The Langnau Jazz Nights are more than a jazz festival: they are also a jazz workshop for professionals as well as committed amateurs, a Junior Jazz Workshop for kids who would like to discover the world of Jazz and the International Junior Jazz Meeting, a daily performance event presenting young Jazz talent from all over Europe.
