Hi. Welcome to the space of MySpace where "My" refers to me. What? Everyone's does? Curse you context-dependent referential words! All right, welcome to the one where "My" refers to the me that goes by the moniker Languageandhumor.
I'm Kevin, an American Generation-X guy. I have a love of language and foreign languages and humor. I can prove that last claim in true 21st century style: I have an off-site blog called Language and Humor Blog (languageandhumor.com/blog). I can also prove the American part with that spelling of "humor." Plus that period inside the quotation marks. Plus writing "period" instead of "full stop." This is spiraling out of control! Just trust me on the rest of it, or we'll be here all day.
I also contributed the chapters "Chinese Words in the 'Verse" and "Unofficial Glossary of Firefly Chinese" to the book Finding Serenity: Anti-heroes, Lost Shepherds and Space Hookers in Joss Whedon's "Firefly." (BenBella Books)
That was at comic con, They had him along with Fozzie Bear and Animal just sitting out on a display where you could just walk up and touch 'em. It was one of the most insane feelings ever.
