The Lanyap has evolved over the years to emerge as one of the best original rock bands in the Caribbean. Past incarnations include The Nylon Pool, Sativa and ProjectX.
The sound has changed slightly but the passion and intensity remain....the style is best described as 'South Caribbean Fusion'. The music is a uniqe blend of rock and reggae that is indigenous to Trinidad and Tobago. The band never conciously decided on a style of music to play, they just play what they are....hence the reality of the music.
