La Paz Underground (LPU)
es un colectivo Hip Hop de productores musicales, con un gran matiz de
tendencias, la cual esta formada principalmente por tres integrantes: Fotongo
MC, MC-A y DJ Wolf los cuales pertenecen a las raíces propias de la La Paz Town.
Este colectivo fue creado en 1996, y oficialmente como grupo para finales de
1999. Muchos Integrantes invitados existen dentro de LPU, algunos como Jim "El
Chacal", Yuyi, El Amarillo, Jhon Doe, Wangertito entre otros, colaboran de vez
en cuando en las producciones de LPU. Cabe destacar que los integrantes
principales también han estado en la alineación de otras bandas famosas en la
región, como La Vieja, Asterisco, Santa Palanka, Los 4 Fantásticos (que en
realidad eran 5), Parasita, Campo Magnético y Matero Smith.
LPU es 100% Hip
Hop de la calle, la raíz intrínseca de lo que es Maracaibo, sin estar en el
malandreo popular pero con el “rithym ganster” presente y con las ideas claras
de una urbe que surgió desde la pobreza pero con una fuerza en inteligencia que
supero todo los limites.
