2-Non c'è solo una visione Camp, un modo Camp di guardare alle cose. Camp è anche una qualità individuabile negli oggetti e nel comportamento delle persone. Ci sono film, vestiti, mobili, canzonette, romanzi, individui ed edifici Campy
3-Camp vede ogni cosa tra virgolette, non una lampada ma una 'lampada', non una uomo ma un 'uomo'. Scorgere Camp negli oggetti e nelle persone significa intendere gli esseri come interpreti di un ruolo. E' l'estensione estrema, sul terreno della sensibilità, della metafora che vede la vita come teatro
4-Esistono altre sensibilità creative oltre alla serietà (tragica o comica) dell'alta cultura e del modo più elevato di valutare le persone
5-Camp è la sensibilità per la serietà non raggiunta, per la teatralizzazione dell'esperienza.
6-Camp è un'esperienza coerentemente estetica del mondo, Rappresenta la vittoria dello 'stile' sul 'contenuto'
dell'estetica sulla morale, dell'ironia sulla tragedia
7-Molti esempi di Camp, da un punto di vista 'serio', sono arte cattiva o kitsch
8-Camp è il dandysmo contemporaneo. E' una soluzione al problema di essere dandy nell'epoca della cultura di massa

.....ci sforziamo di sommare attributi, interessi, oggetti per creare un nostro io unico ed inimitabile, ma istantaneamente diventiamo anche propagandisti degli attributi che sommiamo, facciamo di tutto perchè quanto più gente possibile assomigli a noi, avviene così che la nostra unicità (raggiunta con tanta fatica), ricomincia a disperdersi rapidamente.....
