About La Petite Mort - The Orgasm

Isabel Hertaeg trained in Australia as an actor and graduated in 2006. Since then She has worked continuously in arts including Theatre, Musical Theatre, Cabaret Film, TV and Radio. Career highlights include writing, producing and presenting her own arts segment, ‘Get Cultured’ for a youth show on CH 31, and of course ‘The Lounge Set’ her first and most sucessful one women cabaret show. Isabel recently launched a preview of a second show ‘Isabel Hertaeg is Marilyn Monroe’ at The Butterfly Club in July which she will now continue to develop over the next 2 years. Her third cabaret project ‘La Petite Mort – The Orgasm’ will premiere for Melbourne Fringe 2008. Proudly sponsored by Beautiful Agony. In August she flies to Eastern Europe to take part in ‘The International Performers Village 08’ and from November to April she will be performing in ‘The Ship That Never Was’ in Tasmania.

The circumstances (destiny?) are not changed from the original story, but the perceptions and reactions (will?) of the characters are, with startling results. Classical and contemporary verse combine with accomplished dance (butoh and tribal fusion) to weave a balance between philosophy and enactment, intuition and mentation, will and fate.
