Lapse is a New Zealand based producer who also writes, records and distributes his own original music independently.
Realized in 1998, the Lapse tracks were written quickly and recorded roughly in various abodes around New Zealand over the period 1998-2004 on a Tascam 4-track recorder. Lapse performed regularly during this time at various inner city Auckland venues including: The Temple, Java Jive, SPQR and Rakinos, disarming unsuspecting patrons with the intensity of the acoustic guitar based sets which incorporated an array of guitar loops and ferocious effects. The Lapse EP, The Meander EP, The Phase EP, The Spectre EP and The Flannel EP were recorded and a few copies were given away, but these EP's were not officially released.
