Price in Sep 1953, this author grew up on the west side of Anniston, Alabama (USA). My home was a wooden Lap Sided home. My father was a plumber, and mother… was the housewife. I grew up, lived as a teenager through the sixties, and went to public school to graduate Anniston High School in 1971. Soon after… I worked my way through to attend Jacksonville State University (JSU, - 12 miles away) to attain a University B.S. Degree in Secondary Education with a Major in Political Science and Minor in Economics. I was on the Dean’s Honor Roll 3.5 of my 4 University years. I married my high school prom sweetheart in my Sophomore Year at JSU. Life was financially hard. Subsequently after JSU, I never found a teaching job. So I worked about a year with the US Post Office in Anniston. I then worked for the Dept of Army as a civilian until 1991 when the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) took over our operations. I left DLA in 1996 disappointed altogether with government. Unemployed, Very Stressed, Depressed, and in Literal Tears, I Prayed to God on High as to What I Could DO?? I remembered I could write and I certainly had a creative imagination. So… I picked up an old manuscript I’d started called Lapside (begun in 1989) and began to write once again. Soon I was totally Obsessed in the writing to Tell a Brand New Tale of Young Overcoming Loves and a New Set of Supernatural Adventures. I found a positive venting and a healing virtue in writing -- coupled with an ever increasing FAITH in God to beat the condition I was in and to even persevere on (without an income) to Create the {1st Ever in History} Epic Action Adventure Novel of the Two Young People who Would Forever Become the LEGEND of St. Nick and His Dynamic Lady. Lapside was Born! I manuscript copyrighted Lapside in 1999, and subsequently set it through a set of 14 formal changes, before I settled on the book now published in 2005. I tell folks… Had Not ALL the Hurts and Pains HAPPENED to my family and I…Lapside would probably never been written! That is why… in Lapside: Love, Compassion, Mercy, Forgiveness, Leadership, Honesty, and Stands against Evil along with other Virtues of “Good Report” are such strong innate elements within my heart Today!! One can see plainly in Lapside… That these types of tragic feelings and unctions (or moves in one’s spirit) for the Heroes of Lapside to Persevere against overwhelming Evil is what helped to drive the Epic to become the Young LEGEND and a 1st in History! Love and Righteousness are Paramount to this Epic Story! I have had many many people (who have been privileged to buy a copy of Lapside) tell me that they have waited a Life Time for a tale such as this… And for it, to do what Lapside does. People are telling me they Love the Epic… and want Lapside… And, that They Love the Tales and the Real Places, and the Supernatural Events. All I do is smile humbly and thank them. For… when I hear such compliments… I am truly very thankful… and satisfied… that I did my job (over that 16 year period) to bring to life the YOUNG Epic Story Never Before Told… That is… Lapside!!!
