LARCENIST began as a four piece under the name VESSEL, and graduated to a five piece after a house show in the fall of 2008 with the addition of Jeff Rowe (Tomorrow the Gallows, Boxingwater). There are 4 people writing in the group, allowing for a great range of diversity, which is well represented on their self titled full length being released this June.
With influences ranging from classic rock to country, and soul to punk, they write to make the music of each song define its messages. LARCENIST has moved up from practice space recordings, and have their friends and family to thank for the encouragement to keep going. All are in agreement, this is one of the greatest rides they've been on. Now they're ready to see new small towns and dirty bars.
