I bang the drums for the Dangermen and the Money and am one of the twits behind budget/garage rock label Swashbuckling Hobo Records.
I have always wanted to flesh out some of my own songs but could not be bothered forming a band to do so.
Amateur Philosophy was recorded on and off between August 2007 and January 2008 using a Tascam 688 eight track. I played all instruments and when my patience ran thin, takes with mistakes were deemed more than acceptable.
Why did I bother? Why does one bother getting out of bed in the morning? Aside from having to go to the toilet.
The album is dedicated to my wonderful wife, Anne-Marie.
