THE LARP PODCAST focuses on "Live Action Role-playing". That doesn’t mean you won’t hear someone reference tabletop games or maybe even a computer game but those will not be the focus of the podcast. We hope to focus on a different LARP or aspect of LARPing on each podcast. We will try to get administrators or players from these games to come and chat with us about the game’s genre, theme, setting, and rules system. We started with NERO (New England Role-playing Org) and will go on to Mind’s Eye Theater and Amtgard since those two are local games we can get people to come and talk with us about. We also have friends in the SCA, Nero, Ren-Faires, and a few others. We will also talk about various helpful topics: costuming, weapons & armor, acting exercises, and more.
The ultimate goal is to inform and entertain our listeners (you folks) by offering up details about the full spectrum of LARPs available and how to get the most out of them. You may even want to share the podcasts with your non-larping friends to ease them into a game or two.
