there are trials, troubles, tumult, or thunder;
When
calamities, collisions and clouds arrive
That may darken the way you are walking today,
Take joy, for Christ is alive.
When you think you cannot take one more step forward,
When
pain, and weakness and sickness prevail,

Do not despair; He is already there.
If the mist is so thick that you cannot see through it,

Are you certain afflictions will not end for you?
Think again; Christ the healer is there.
In the midst of the mist, there is joy everlasting;
Pure
joy that the world may not know.
In all of your trials, our Lord went before you,
And through them He’s helping you grow.
In the midst of the downpours and thunderous storms
He
is walking beside you to show
That in your weakness He is your
strength.
Let Him guide you wherever you go.
So when you are weary and longing to quit,
Remember that He sees the start and the end;
He loves you, and holds you and leads you along
And gives joy for the journey, my friend.
My ministry is a ministry to all people, no
matter what they have done
or where they have been. My purpose for ministry is to spread the
message of the Cross and the good news of the Gospel in song to where
ever a door is opened. My priority is to see the lost saved and then to
be an encouragement to those who are hurting and broken hearted. I have
ministered in churches of all denominations, outdoor revivals, street
ministry, tent meetings, county fairs, weddings and funerals. I would

LARRY BARRETT'S TESTIMONY
Larry
Barrett was born in Abingdon, Virginia in 1946, and moved to a
farm just outside Abingdon at the age of 8. With no television in his
home, the family radio became his best friend. It was while listening
to a program called "HYMN TIME", that the Lord touched his heart with
music. At the age of 12, Larry asked the Lord into his heart while
attending a church camp. Larry was encouraged by his parents to use his
music talent in service for the Lord. He married his wife Naomi, in
September of 1969. Larry and Naomi have 5 children and 9 Grandchildren.
In 1995, the Lord gave Larry the gift of songwriting and he has
ministered full time since 1996. Larry has ministered in churches of
all denominations, outdoor revivals, street ministry, tent meetings,
county fairs, weddings and funerals. Larry has to date (2007) recorded
4 Cd's. Larry has opened concerts for Mike Upright, The Florida Boys,
The Singing Cookes, The Crabb Family, The Oak Ridge Boys, Buddy Jewel,
and John Osborne. Larry has received many awards for his music
including Male Vocalist of The Year and Songwriter Of The Year in
Country Gospel Music. Larry's ministry is a ministry to all people, no
matter what they have done or where they have been. His purpose for
