my first instrument was a synthesizer. then came the electric guitar and much later various acoustic ones. i spend most of my time in my little studio which includes all kinds of guitars, synthesizers, drum machines and other unnecessary efx boxes. from the beginning i was interested in improvised music and also in composing my own material which gives me the greatest joy.
i studied jazzguitar for a couple of semesters in cologne but quit due to academic boredom but much more to focus on my life as a studio enthusiast. still i will always keep on studying all kinds of music, mainly classical and jazz composition. it is also a great goal in my life to once achieve a real sensitive amalgamation of all my favourite styles and techniques as for example jazz, electronic, classical, imrpovised and programmed music.
right now i am reading schoenbergs "harmonielehre" and can only recommend it to everyone who is interested in gaining a more individual perspective still based on a seriuos and traditional fundament. "If I had always told my students that I know the definite answer to a certain problem they would now know much less: because the most important virtue remains searching."
I am glad to announce the release of my debut CD called "Interro Island". This is my first solo project, which includes original tunes composed and arranged by me. I hope you will enjoy my work!
