Las Damas was formed in 2005. Russell and Alison met while working at a local restaurant. They soon found that they shared similar musical interests, and Las Damas was born. Sarah Glynn and Chris Mietus added their own unique components to the band, expanding the approach to include keys and drums. Russell has played with several bands including People Skills, Hater's Beach and Shaggy's house band. Alison has played with 5 Digit Disco, Liza Ramada and Mysterious They. Sarah has played with Echoset, Idgy Vaughn, and many others. She also fronts Tribella, an up-and-coming all-female indie rock trio. Chris Mietus has played in Hater's Beach and many other local bands.
This summer, Las Damas will head into the studio to record a new EP. The new EP will include new songs that reflect the new direction in which they are heading. Las Damas still have copies of their self-released EP "Skyscrapers."
