DRESS TO REMEMBER is Saturday, March 14, 2009!! VOLUNTEERS - WE NEED YOU!: Tailors for minor alterations, greeters, sign in helpers, fitting helpers, refreshments, and check out helpers.

How to get Dresses: Please Approach bridal salons, Quince Stores, Garage Sales, retail stores and women in your community to ask for any dress donations. Encourage everyone! Even men know someone who would have a dress.Heroes

About me:
LA’s Prom Closet is a 501c3 non-profit organization that donates dresses to deserving high school seniors who are in financial difficulty. We believe that every person should have the chance to attend their high school prom and make a memory of a lifetime. As such, our goal is to provide girls with the opportunity of capitalizing on that dream. We collect new and used formal gowns and then donate them to deserving young ladies. We work to promote self-esteem and give the ladies the much-needed recognition for staying in school and pushing forward. We want them to know they are recognized for their accomplishments and hard work. LA's Prom Closet provides a stepping-stone for girls to realize their potential and the insurmountable opportunities that await them. The new & used drycleaned/pre-washed gowns collected are donated by the LA community, businesses, colleges and high schools. We rely on monetary donations from individuals and corporate sponsors to fund our efforts and make a difference in the lives of others. ..Step 1.. The dress giveaway event is titled DRESS TO REMEMBER! Students that have been selected must present their high school ID when picking up their dress on April 26th in El Segundo. We will provide you with the exact address. There will be check in at the door and you will receive a time as to when you may enter the dress hall.
..Step 2.. Return at your scheduled appointment time and you may select your dress. A volunteer will guide you through our dress selection. There will be gowns in all sizes and styles, so you can choose what is best for you!
..Step 3.. Once you have tried on and selected a dress, we ask that you sign out and write down any comments about your experience. You are then off with your dress in hand, for free!

Ask your hairstylists, wedding coordinators, florists, manicurists, friends, family, co-workers, etc. to promote LA's PROM CLOSET!!!
