Over the past several years, StageSceneLA.com Editor Steven Stanley has become known as one of the most outspoken advocates of Los Angeles theater. As an Ovation Awards voter for two seasons (2005-2007), he attended and voted on over 365 productions, and as a "private citizen" attended about 200 more. As an actor, Mr. Stanley has appeared on many Los Angeles area stages: the Lillian, the Actor's Group, the Stephanie Feurie Studio, the Gardner Stages, the Powerhouse Theater, the Complex, the Sierra Madre Playhouse, and the Whittier Center Theater. It was Mr. Stanley's desire to create a website which would celebrate the richness of our Los Angeles theater scene which led him to create StageSceneLA.com.
