The Schedule is up! How awesome is that?! Emails have been sent to filmmakers who will be screened. The LEO has written a new piece on us and Velocity will be publishing a story the week of Last Call. What could be better? Watching movies at the Rudyard Kipling! There are over twenty movies and the Octopus Project for the low price of $5 a night. I defy you to find a better time at a better price.
Last Call Film Festival is an event by and for people who love movies. Previous guests to Last Call have included Richard Elfman (writer/director of The Forbidden Zone), Cory McAbee (writer/director of American Astronaut), and most recently Kevin Murphy (writer/voice of Tom Servo on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and author). In addition to hosting amazing guests, Last Call was awarded once again with the Best of Louisville award being one of the most promoted and well-attended film festivals in the area.
We are one of the only remaining film festivals with no submission fees. Last Call is about the love of movies and we see no need to fleece filmmakers of their money. All that is required for consideration, is a DVD copy of your film, your contact info, and any additional information you would like to provide. Deadline for submissions is May 15th, 2009. If you would like for us to return your DVD, please include return address and postage, otherwise it will become part of Last Call’s film and video archive.
Our website and MySpace page have additional information. If you have any further questions, e-mail Bob at: bob@lastcallmovies.com. Thanks for your time and we look forward to seeing your film.
